How to enter cheats on PS5

Same method as GTA V. We will correct this on launch night if GTA 6 changes it.

PS5

Load your story mode save. Cheats have never worked online.
During normal play, not in a menu, press the inputs in order. Go quickly and do not pause between presses.
Look for the cheat activated message in the top corner. If nothing shows, start the sequence again.
Or open the in-game phone with Up on the D-pad and dial the phone number instead.

Will cheats turn off trophies?

In GTA V, yes, but only for that session. The moment you entered any cheat, trophies stopped unlocking until you reloaded a save made before the cheat. Your save file itself was not damaged.

If you are hunting trophies, make a manual save before you start playing with cheats. Then you can reload it and carry on as normal.

Cheats on other platforms

Playing on another console? See the GTA 6 cheat codes for Xbox Series X|S, or the full GTA 6 cheat list with every platform side by side.

PS5 cheat questions

Do GTA 6 cheats work on PS4?

No. GTA 6 is not coming to PS4. It launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.

Do I need PlayStation Plus to use cheats?

No. Cheats are a story mode feature and story mode does not need PlayStation Plus. Online play is a different matter, and cheats do not work there anyway.

Will cheats turn off trophies on PS5?

In GTA V on PS5, any cheat turned off trophies for the rest of that session. Reload a save from before the cheat to earn trophies again. Expect GTA 6 to do the same.

Do cheats stay on after I quit?

In GTA V, no. Cheats reset when you quit or reload. You enter them again each session.

When will PS5 cheat codes be confirmed?

On launch night, November 19, 2026. We test every code on a PS5 and stamp it with the date.
